Dear IADFS members and delegates,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 10^th annual conference of the International Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons in Mumbai, combined with and hosted by the Diabetic Foot Society of India. We also extend our warm welcome to D-Foot International for their collaboration in this event.

We have seen great advancements in the surgical management of diabetic foot syndrome in all areas of specialties over the last decade. Prevention of major amputation and preservation of foot function is now a real possibility for most diabetic foot critical presentations. However, this requires greater interdisciplinary collaboration between all specialists that manage diabetic foot conditions, particularly those that come with 'foot-at-risk'. We are glad that IADFS has been able to foster such an alliance between all surgical specialists that manage diabetic foot and contribute to the improvements in patient outcomes.

This three-day conference will cover, in addition to the medical and MDT management of the diabetic foot, the latest advancements in the surgical treatment of soft tissue defects, diabetic foot infections, peripheral arterial disease, and diabetic foot deformities. Dedicated sessions have been designed on various topics, including infection & osteomyelitis, amputations & rehabilitation, prophylactic surgery, Charcot foot corrections, ischemic foot revascularisation, and offloading techniques. There will be ample opportunities for the delegates to interact with the world-renowned faculty during lectures, hands-on sessions, complex case discussions, and free paper presentations.
